| The Bobwhite is Florida's only quail. It is a game bird
and can be legally hunted in season. It is a small, chunky, brown bird
with white streaks on its side. The adult male has a white throat and a
white stripe above the eye. In the female, these areas are buff
colored. The Bobwhite inhabits pastures, grassy roadsides, and farmlands. |
