| Ducks are web-footed waterfowl with waterproof feathers that inhabit oceans, lakes, rivers, and ponds. In contrast to their larger cousins, geese and swans, they typically have shorter legs and necks and broader, flatter bills. Instead of trumpeting or honking, they quack or whistle. There are approximately 30 species of ducks that visit or live year-round in Florida.
