Foxes

Foxes, along with coyotes and wolves, belong to the family Canidae.  Common characteristics of members of this family include long, pointed snouts, triangular ears, and bushy tails.  They are good runners, well suited for the pursuit of prey, such as rabbits and all sorts of rodents.  They also eat insects and berries.  They are quite intelligent, with keen senses of hearing and smell.  There are two species of foxes commonly found in Florida, the Gray Fox and the Red Fox.  Of these, the Gray Fox is the more common.
