September 27 - Ollie's Pond

I visited Ollie’s Pond this morning, also on the mornings of Sept 17 and Sept 22, specifically to look for migrants.  I saw a few during each visit.  Mostly they were in the area to the left of the parking lot along the trail. The following migrants were seen on one or more of my visits: Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, American Redstart, Red-eyed Vireo, Black-and-white Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Palm Warbler, Prairie Warbler, and Yellow-throated Warbler.  Other birds seen included Anhingas, Bobwhite, Northern Cardinals, Blue Jays, Mockingbirds, Moorhens, Brown Thrashers, Downy Woodpeckers, and Red-bellied Woodpeckers.

Following are a few images taken on the trip.  (For a larger view, double click on the desired image.)
